johnny depp to the rescue!!
according to the news,
nicholas cage has been facing financial troubles
because of his manager.
to the extent that he has to sell his properties to raise money
to pay off his debts.
and apparently its still not enough.
BUT
johnny depp is coming to the rescue!
apparently, back then nicholas cage helped johnny depp
by introducing him to his current manager,
who then helped him develop his very successful career.
thus depp wants to repay the favour,
by being willing to OFFER nicholas cage CASH
to bail him out.

if the above is true, i can only say,
its going to enhance depp's reputation and gain him more fans.
but i don't deny i myself went 'awwwwww..... so nice!'

it looks like some kind of exotic bird
because i've NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT BEFORE

Are you suffering from Facebook Addiction Disorder?
Got to know this recently. quite interesting.
Due to the immense popularity of Facebook and it turning into an online social medium,
experts have coined this new term 'Facebook Addiction Disorder' to describe those who are addicted to FaceBook. It falls under the broad category of Internet Disorder.
To be diagnosed as having Facebook Addiction Disorder, a person must meet certain criteria.
At least 2 or 3 of the following 6 criteria must be present at any time during a 6-8 months period:
1. The first thing is tolerance.
This refers to the need for increasing amounts of time on Facebook to achieve satisfaction and/or significantly diminished effect with continued use of the same amount of time. They often have multiple Facebook windows opened at any one time. 3 is usually a sign and over 5 you're helpless.
2. After reduction of Facebook use or cessation, it causes distress or impairs social, personal or occupational functioning such as wondering why your Vista is so fast and improved etc. These include anxiety; obsessive thinking about what is written on your wall on Facebook etc.
3. Important social or recreational activities are greatly reduced and or migrated to Facebook. Instead of sending an email you post a message on your friend’s page about canceling a lunch appointment. You now stop answering your phone call from your Mom and insist she should contact you through Facebook chat.
4. This is getting serious if you start kissing your girlfriend's home page or a VRML virtual walk through a park is your idea of a date.
5. Your bookmark takes 20 minutes just to scroll from top to bottom or 8 of 10 people in your friend's list you have no idea of who they are.
6. When you meet people you start introducing yourself by following "see you in Facebook" or your dog has its own Facebook profile. You invite anyone you've met and any notifications, messages and invites reward you with an unpredictable high, much like gambling.

story of a Boy and a Girl
heard this story over Yes 933 FM that day
its a love story.
a very very sad love story =(
here goes:
its quite sad when i first heard it over the radio.
somehow chong qing made it really sad.
(though i think ling zhi would be better >.<)
but i think both Boy and Girl are stupid.
wait here and there.
whats e point.
but then sometimes we have to agree,
that life is like that.
its a love story.

there was a Boy and a Girl
both of them met each other when they were still students
and both of them liked each other. immensely.
but Boy was too timid to profess his love for her.
for many many years, he just hid at a corner watching her.
caring for her silently.
Girl was waiting for Boy.
and she waited for many many years.
just for that 1 sentence from Boy, and she's his.
but the story didn't end like this.
Boy kept his feelings to himself
and Girl met someone else,
whom she got married to.
Boy lost hope, and just gave Girl his blessings.
but a few years later, Girl got divorced from her unhappy marriage.
Boy got to know about it, and decided to muster his courage and profess to her.
having tasted the sense of loss once, he did not want to lose Girl again.
so he bought flowers and went to her office one day.
Girl was on the phone, so he waited quietly behind her.
as long as Girl turned around, he would profess.
but he heard this,

Boy was crestfallen, for he did not know of Girl's new love interest.

movie marathon!
had a bad start in e morning today.
was rushing for work at Kumon...
and when i reached bishan mrt,
at BreadTalk there,
my slippers broke.
and i was stranded there, because early morning at 9.45am
none of the shops in Junction 8 was opened.
i was soooo prepared to go Charles & Keith
and just buy 1 pair of sandals or slippers
DESPITE their sky high price that does not justify their quality
and NO it wasn't open.
and SO, i walked back home
BAREFOOTED
from breadtalk there all the way home
quite an experience if u ask me
but definitely not enjoyable since i was rushing for work
=(
but i caught 2 movies today!
please don't come ask me why.
its quite a disappointment
cause i read the book.
the ending is totally different.
i went 'HUH?!' and 0.o
the feel is different.
when reading the book, i felt such INTENSE DISLIKE for the mother
because i felt she's the one causing all the misery in the family
albeit her good intentions.
sometimes, letting go is the only way to move on
because she cant accept the fact,
because she cant let go,
she brought such misery upon her family and others.
resulting in them having to resort to such extreme means to get the message across.
but i admit that Cameron Diaz did a rather good job
in playing the role of the mother
its very emotionally challenging
to be so drastic all the time.
i was like totally angry and tensed up and agitated while reading the book
the twist at the end of the book left a lingering taste after i finished it
all the 'huh how come this happened' feel
still unable to get over the twist.
strong emotions,
that the movie didn't evoke.
500 Days of Summer

one can sacrifice and give all one has to give,
but can still lose the loved one to another who does not put in that much effort.
there's no explanation.
perhaps this would give some people out there hope,
but at the same time,
it would also create doubts in some.

long weekend...
i just wasted my entire long weekend.
my 'sleeping disorder' doesn't seem to be getting any better.
despite me sleeping off almost e whole day

4 more weeks to exams
with quizzes and proj deadlines and so many things in betwen
im screwed.
my cGPA must be >4.0
if not i'm a GONER.
i'll just POOF and be gone with the air
no chance for mistakes
i really really really need to wake up my idea!

and here's her second surprise!

UPDATES!!!
haven't blogged for very very long!
purposely left the Breadtalk Mooncakes post up there cause i want pple to see =P
have been having lots of activities recently!
long entry ahead! but got pictures! =)
weirdly we love this event now that we graduated
back then in Hwa Chong we find this event damn useless
but as seniors, it provides us with a proper excuse to gather and meet up =)
and hear all the stories hahahaha!
having fun doing the mass dances and singing the songs
hard to believe that i actually spent 2 years there
and that e 2 years are actually 2 years ago
it seems that we just graduated only.
but the sea of unfamiliar faces of juniors reinforced the fact that
we're old. we're the alumni now.

the food was nice =)
cabbed down from NTU to Changi Airport and back again
within 2 hours i think haha!
so sorry couldn't spend much time hanging out while u were in spore =(

acer laptop sucks
i just changed to my new Acer laptop
Acer Aspire 4935G
but then its starting to give me problems.
and i think it sucks compared to Fujitsu
Fujitsu is such a good brand man.
i love my old and small white Fujitsu laptop.
its still functioning well
unlike the acer one
this is how my laptop looks like
supposed to be a very good laptop for viewing movies and shows
with what surround theatre system
its even called Dolby Home Theatre
and then the home theatre advertisement would pop out and start playing by itself
(i haven't figure out how to get rid of it yet)
but then, the keys to adjust the media player and volume IS NOT SENSITIVE
the touchpad is NOT SENSITIVE
(comparing it with my Fujitsu where i use the touchpad even better than e mouse)
it cannot open my Facebook applications
somehow the applications bar became at the top and at the side
yesterday msn was working fine
i shut e laptop down n today when i came back i cant sign in to msn
giving me different error codes each time i restart the computer
one fine day i just ran a virus scan
the scan went fine.
but then, i cannot remove all the tracking cookies, virus etc from the computer
what use is the scan, if u cant remove the unwanted stuff afterwards
and in e process of doing so, the computer hangs -_-"
WHAT THE HELL.
is it me or is it the stupid laptop.

RECESS WEEK IS COMING IN 3 WEEKS.

YAY NEW TEMPLATE!!
HAHAHA
qiaoling helped me to 'repair' my template by fixing the picture there for me

supposed to change my template with the help of my new roomie - yiting
but i'm too dumb =(
she helped me change the template WITHIN SECONDS
and up until now i don't know how to make the picture come out

there's supposed to be a picture.
a random random picture
but somehow it doesn't come out
and i duno how to fix it (obviously)
so i tried to change to another template
but ALAS!! i don't know how to save my tagboard
tried the same method she did by searching for tagboard within the technical jargon
but cant =((
CAN SOMEONE PLS ENLIGHTEN ME???
